Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" which explains your expected costs for therapy. Under the new “No Surprises” law, health care providers are required to supply patients/clients with a GFE if they are uninsured or choose not to use insurance. The GFE will include an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your provider/therapist for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is more than $400 over your GFE, you have the right to dispute your bill.
